Oh, my damn...where have I been??

I know, I know...I have been slipping in my blogging follow ups. Many apologies!! Truly, I appreciate all views and especially READS! Thanks for sticking around with me! I have been trying to catch up on all of the TV I have missed. Honey, let me tell you there is SOOOOOO much good stuff!! Okay I have been a Hell on Wheels fan since season one! So, needless to say that I had been waiting with baited breath for the new seasons' premiere....however- I have a life that gives me ALL the "unexpecteds" (yes, I made up a word!) that life has to offer. I truly live my entire life by Murphy's Law! (With four kids all under the age of twelve, two dogs and my 'Man Child' (hubby) things go haywire on the regular and ofttimes without warning, and or provocation!! Needless to say, I missed the premiere night. The next week's episode, the week after that and FINALLY, I caught a commercial on @AMC and realized, "Holy crud, I have been missing it!!" lol

Now, like a good fan girl- I put my hardcore viewing goggles on, grabbed my @XfinityTV remote, and a cocktail and proceeded to sit my tail down and start a mini binge. Right? WRONG!!! the flipping episodes that were onDemand to watch were not working!! The run time was accurate, the commercial ad prior to the episode were fine. But, when the ad and the network identification finished- the screen was black! AAAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH! LOL have no fear, for I went to the INTERNET! lol I found them on the @xfinityGO app on my phone and got caught up, So, here's what we know thus far...We're (as in Cullen Bohannon) in Truckee, California. Sans our young Mormon wife and son, working for the Central Pacific railroad. The journalist, (Miss Ellison) is preggers from a down and dirty railroad hookup from last season. ;) Eva is working with Mickey and helping to keep his head in the business of his business (the saloon) while she runs the brothel.

Mr. Durant is still in the trenches trying to get his railroad ahead and despite his best efforts, without Cullen...he falls short EVERY time! He's resorting to selling land with claims that each plot is going to be smack dab in the middle of the country's LARGEST railroad hub!! (hasn't he been selling that load since Cheyenne?) Any-who, now his dealings take him into the web of Mr. Brigham Young (the leader, prophet and creator of The Church of Latter Day Saints) who, by the by is not as holy as it would seem in the history books in this drama. I say this, because in this depiction: He has been skimming cash off of the payment that he has been receiving from the Union Pacific before paying it out to his son, Phineas. AND also willing to blackmail Thomas Durant!! (Stuff is getting real on the railroad! maybe we should be calling it the REALroad!)

The Swede (after his travels with The Prophet) is in the Mormon camp (on the West Coast) working for the railroad. He has been buying guns secretly from the man (Chang) who has been providing the Chinese workers for railroad work. He also has his own agenda...as all these railroad men do! :) Meanwhile, Cullen has paired up with  Chinese woman who has been going under the guise of being a man to stay with her father, the only family she had left after the war in China that sent them to America. Mei (who was known by the men as Fong) has been a refugee because she was betrothed to a violent soldier in China that she did not only not love, but feared. she converted her identity and worked like a man, She was only found out after a wound caused Cullen to look in on her/him only to find out the TRUTH in a very unexpected way! She begged to be let back on the tracks to work because if she had been found out as a girl from the rest of the men she would have been killed.Of course, the railroad must go on and it does as she continues to translate to the crews of Chinese workers for Bohannon.

Things seemed to go well until the Irish workers began to get uptight about the heavy presence of the Chinese workers and their inability to truly get ahead of them in any way the railroad was willing to help them with, That's when violence ensued and Chang was hung to die. had it not been for Mei's father and Cullen he would have been dead for sure.... Child, I was like- OMG!! Get him down, get him down!!! smh...moving on. during the festival of Tin Hau Don, Mei's father was gunned down. Mei is determined to return her father to China to be buried. Unfortunately, she was still a girl and not truly able to make it on her own, and here comes Cullen!!

Now, it seems that since Cullen is without his family and Mei is without hers, they have become much closer and things in the near future may be heating up in Truckee!! Stay tuned in and if your life's unexpecteds keep you from watching, I'll be here!

Keep Watchin' 'n' Readin'!!

Yaaaaassss Gawd, school is back in session!!!

Written earlier today in a tv and pinot induced glow!!

Today is August 19th 2015 and finally school is back in session!!!! So my TV watching binge just continues on! Today has begun with this past week's episode of Playing House! I love Lennon and Jessica so much... I think they're my best friends! They remind me of me and my best friend. I mean, all the way  down to the crazy antics and the 'getting into scrapes' lol.

This past week's episode was about Mark and his divorce spiraling him into a handyman fix everything else around him and everyone else marathon. Maggie decided she wanted to go back to nursing school (woohoo can't wait to see how that's going to play out!) And I think there might be a little Sum'n sum'n going on between Mark and Emma again...😉 lol sparks will fly!

Now I'm going to round out my morning with some broiled fish, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers and a baked potato. I'm even gonna have a glass of wine. Yes, I said a glass of wine and its only 9:21 in the morning! This is how I get down when it comes to binge-a-thons! So, I'm going to finish up this week's episode of Ballers and The Brink and see what's going on on HBO! Talk to you later.

The Day Before School Started @ My House!!

Today is August 18th, 2015. The day before school starts again in my house and I am in the bed! I am being faced with a soggy, soggy, sad Tuesday and I'm going to stay in the bed and watch television shows that I have yet to watch! Shows that I have heard SO much about... and I'm going to give my reviews! Now listen, this whole process starts off with me in my bed watching,  "Complications." This is a new show from the USA network. I have watched the first two episodes so far. I actually watched them with my husband because I picked all random-like off the on-demand menu... we enjoyed them immensely. (Yay!)

It's about a doctor (hospital) and how he (they) gets caught up in basically just trying to uphold his (their) Hippocratic oath to first do no harm. In this way, he ends up saving the life of a child who ends up being the son of a known gang leader. Meanwhile, the others on the medical staff have their own dramas, and incidents of the ish hitting the proverbial fan (think "House"  meets "ER" meets WTF?!)! Chiiiiiile, let me tell you the drama has begun!

So my only critique on "Complications" thus far, is the gang members look busted!!! I mean, how in the hell are you riding around in these fancy, black, Escalades and you look like a crackhead!! The actors aren't UNattractive, but they just don't physically coincide with the persona they are to portray. Lol 😒 It's a bit off putting...Ho hum.

Ummm, and is it me or are all the shows dressing their antagonists in ALL black to subconsciously tell us, "YES! They're the bad guy!!"??? Look at the next five shows you watch (involving drama, violence etc.) and see if you notice it! Leave me a comment or tweet me @MzJLynn82 if you see it or to tell me I'm nuts!!

Lol doesn't diminish the storylines in any way, so #HighFive @usa!! Oooh, my commercial block is almost done! Keep reading and watching with me!

Muah!
